Peekaboo Baby Collection aims to catch your eye with
our stylish items and win your heart once you discover
how useful and well made our products are.
The Peekaboo Pouch, is
the first product that launched the business in early
2004. Accessories
are in the works, ...maybe. The truth is, we've
been so busy fine tuning our Peekaboo Pouches since
their debut that we've made it our priority to specialize
in stylish lightweight fleece pouches so our customers
get a great quality made, comfortable, and well fitting
pouch.
After trying out many slings and baby carriers, I found
I really liked the simple, comfortable and functional
design of a pouch style baby sling. After having my
second child, I realized I needed a good baby carrier
now more than ever to juggle both kids.
I was attracted to fleece because it stretches beautifully
for a snug fit every time - without adjustment. I was
really impressed how fleece's unique stretch allowed
it to fit snug along with the changes my body went through
post baby. Above all, it is hands down the most comfortable
fabric to wear. Fleece also protected my baby so softly
in just about any weather - not overheating her. Even
in sunny San Diego where we live, it's perfect year
round. I soon learned that fleece fabric naturally wicks
away moisture and allows air to flow through easily.
No wonder my baby fell in love with her Peekaboo Pouch!
So
I became motivated to create a pouch sling that was
cozy for my baby yet fun and stylish to wear. And of
course I wanted more than one to go with what I was
wearing. The rest is history. Overtime came the specialty
of sourcing stylish lightweight fleece. And in came
the love for quality industrial strength sewing construction.
This led to outsourcing the sewing to professionals
(USA always).
Now, I never leave home without my Peekaboo Pouch.
I love how it is so quick to put on and put my child
in. My husband and I found it invaluable to soothe Jane
to sleep no matter where we were. She was still being
cradled in it at 7 months and 19 pounds. At 21 pounds
(and ever so wiggly) she sat securely on our hip seeing
the world around her. I also still use it as a cozy
blanket when Jane's in the stroller or car seat, and
for privacy when nursing her in public. Overall it's
just so comfortable to wear and carry my big baby (or
my 3 year old!) without straining my shoulders or back.
I encourage you to pop one on and go - so you can fall
in love with the Peekaboo Pouch as much as we
have.
